Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, MSSN has charged Nigerian youths on self reformation in order to eradicate the vices in the country.
The Amir (President) of Lagos state Area Unit of the Society, Dr. Saheed Ashafa made the call during the just concluded 107th April Islamic Vacation course(IVC) with the theme:' the reformer '
According to Dr. Ashafa, the Nigerian youths can take a lesson from the suspension of former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen who was charged for corruption.
He stated that for the Nigerian society to be reformed, it must begin with youths who are future of the nation.
"we carefully chose the theme to see how else to address the rots in our society" he hinted
"Having listened to series of lectures, learnt a lot during camping exercise I believed you are all now reformers to make the change in the country.
If there is societal reformation, the country will be free of vices which have engulfed our system of governance, justice, even religious setting are not left out of the rots .Until we change our ways, Allah will not change our situation "
He emphasized that being at IVC is a witness while returning home to continue what had been learnt during the period, the askar, daily prayers, Tahjud etc are to be continued after the exercise,
Dr.Ashafa said it is our responsibility to reform ourselves before others.
The April IVC which took placed at 7 different zones in the state, Agege, Mushin
Mainland, Epe, Ikorodu, Apapa and Ojo, ran from 19th to 22nd April, 2019 with thousands of participants
