Ramadan is a blessed month that has lot of virtues and merits. One of its merits is in the providing of Iftar and Sahuur for fasting Muslims.
The prophet says: "Whoever provides Iftar (a meal to break fast), will have his reward and the like of reward of whom he provided the Iftar, without reducing the reward of the fasting Muslims " Tirmidhi
And what makes feeding more meritorious, is feeding fasting Muslim families and individuals at this COVID-19 epidemic period that has got Lagos state lockdown for the virus to be contained. (May Allah save the world- Aameen). People that depend on a daily job to survive is greatly affected, and its effect will be more on fasting Muslims in Ramadan.
Double your reward providing food in Ramadan and during a hard time. Allah says:
"And what can make you know what is [breaking through] the difficult pass? .It's the freeing of slave. Or feeding (the poor) on a day of severe hunger " (suratu al-Balad)
